The African Cape Buffalo is a legendary big game animal. All of his senses are finely tuned; his eyesight is excellent, and is matched with a keen sense of smell and hearing. He's smart, he's cunning and - at times - he's most formidable and flat-out dangerous.
He has our our respect, and we take him very seriously.
Robert Ruark said of the buffalo, "He looks at you like you owe him money..." Ruark only failed to mention that sometimes they come to collect too!

Can you see him...? He can see you! |

We conduct buffalo hunts on foot, approach cautiously and like to get our clients in close.
Not only does the latter minimize room for error, but it's also good sport (and taxing on the adrenal gland.)
Buffalo hunting is physically demanding, a challenge to the hunter's skill, and is not a hunt to be taken lightly.
Although much has been written about buffalo charging, they are in fact few and far between. If he does charge however - unlike his Dangerous Game counterparts - the buffalo doesn't "bluff" or mock charge. If he comes at you, you can rest asured he has made up his mind to come all the way.
And yes, sometimes they do look at you like you owe them money. |

Many people ask, "What is a Dugga Boy?"
Well, here he is; old, beyond breeding age, separated from the herd, beaten, battered, scarred, horns worn down, and generally quite cantankerous in attitude - sometimes from an old injury but mostly just
from old age and a lifetime of fending off lions.
Dugga Boys are usually solitary or run in a small group of two or three other bulls. They are an excellent challenge and although not
picturesque in appearance, they are always long on character.

Prime habitat and sound management have built a strong, healthy buffalo population in our concessions, and cow hunts are available in combination wiht other hunting packages.
Despite the lack of a solid boss, a cow's spread can reach the coveted 40" mark, and they can be as "Cheeky" as any bull you can imagine.
