The Communal Areas Management Programme for Indigenous Resources (CAMPFIRE) is a cooperative effort between hunting operators and the local communities within these communal areas.

The hunting of animals in these communal areas generates much needed revenue for the local economies, while proving effective game management tools for the preservation of the communities' natural resources.
