The Communal Areas Management Programme for Indigenous Resources (CAMPFIRE) is a cooperative effort between hunting operators and the local communities within these communal areas.

The hunting of animals in these communal areas generates much needed revenue for the local economies, while proving effective game management tools for the preservation of the communities' natural resources.

SCI Blue Bag Donations

Hunters coming out can bring items for the communities through the SCI Foundation. These supplies are handed over to the people from the communities. The supplies are mainly medications, school supplies and sporting supplies.

The Safari Club International Foundation is a 501(c) (3) Charitable Organization, and an NGO recognized by the United Nations. They also have a 4-star rating with Charity Navigator. The Safari Care programme is a 13- year-old volunteer healthcare/humanitarian outreach program serving people in need in remote communities around the globe. SCI members participating in this program take these blue duffel bags filled with medical, educational, and other relief supplies, clothing and toys overseas as baggage, thus eliminating middlemen and shipping costs. The supplies are delivered directly to villages, clinics or schools for doctors, teachers and villagers to utilize.

Shangaan Hunters employs the majority of its staff from the surrounding communities and they live with their families in the area, these supplies are handed from the hunter over to the people who benefit greatly from these donations. We support a soccer team who play in a league and won the league trophy end of 2008. This was made possible because of donations of sporting gear from ourselves and kind hearted hunters enabling a good practise schedule. The woman and children also participate in netball and soccer alike.

There is a small pre-school set up for the smaller children who benefit greatly from the school supplies brought over by hunters.

From the whole Shangaan Hunters team we thank those who have brought out these donations and helped us and our families with a stronger footing for our futures

SCI Blue Bag Donations are alocated for women and children, medicine, schools and sporting equipment.
