Gordon Duncan is a 4 th Generation Zimbabwean whose family has been in the country since the early pioneer columns of 1893, and in Africa even longer. He was born in 1974 and has been a Lowveld native most his life. In addition to be being a Shangaan Hunters PH, , he was the company's General Manager having registered the company in 2001leaving in 2006 to re-habilitate a conservation area in Northern Zimbabwe in and around the Doma area.

Growing up in the South East Lowveld of Zimbabwe, Gordon has been privileged to be in the wilds all his life, hunting with his Shangaan cohorts from an early age with traditional bow and arrows, and learning the secrets of the bush from some of the finest old Shangaan hunters who's skills and instincts were from another time.

After completing his schooling he went on to study Zoology, and has been involved in wildlife and environmental work ever since.

Gordon commenced the Zimbabwe Professional Hunters & Guides Association licensing process in 1992 and after completing the mandatory 2 year apprenticeship and the subsequent Full license and rigorous proficiency test b ecame a fully licensed PH & Photographic Guide. In the years since then, Gordon has been fortunate to gain invaluable experience, guiding, hunting and conducting research and conservation related projects throughout Zimbabwe .

After playing a major role in getting Shangaan Hunters to were it is today Gordon followed his heart and is now re-habilitating a Conservation area under the name Doma Safaris were he is doing what he loves, managing, capturing, nurturing and of course hunting an area he once managed before Zimbabwe's land reform. Now doing a joint venture with the local communities and Council with the previous land owners consent. As well as being the Managing Director for Doma Safaris Gordon is still one of Shangaan Hunters main Professional Hunters.

Glenn Stockil was born in 1976 and apart from studies and the mandatory “walkabout” abroad has lived in the Zimbabwean South East Lowveld all his life. He comes from a pioneering, hunting family who came to Africa in 1850. Due to his father, Clive who was one of the countries's first licensed P.H.'s; Glenn has been brought up, influenced and participated in the safari industry all his life.

In addition to rifle, Glenn started Bow hunting with a Shangaan bow at a very early age and received his first compound bow in due course with which he has taken many species including Cape Buffalo which abound in the hunting area.

As well as hunting most of these indigenous species himself with both bow and rifle, he has guided many clients for plains game and dangerous game alike using rifle and bow with the same passion & success.

Laid back and easy going, Glenn's hunting companions & clients observe how he will show the same thrill of the hunt whether he has just stopped a charging elephant with a frontal brain shot, taken a small common species trophy or toasted an African sunset with a cold beer. He has hunted for Shangaan Hunters since its inception and has become firm friends with many repeat clients. Whilst hunting and not hunting, Glenn manages Shangaan Hunters and its core hunting area of Senuko in the Save` Valley Conservancy, working with the wildlife and surrounding communities.

Thomas Mutombenin was born in the Mahenye area of the South East Lowveld of Zimbabwe . This being the true home of the Shangaan people of Zimbabwe , situated on the Mozambique boarder and neighbors with the Gonarezhou National Park . The Mahenye community has had many life times of living with wild animals and now with a CAMPFIRE programme benefit from these wild animals. Starting off as any good grounded Shangaan man would do, as a protector of his father's assets, learning his bush skills and knowledge from that early age.

After completing high school, Thomas tried his hand as a book keeper with a local mining company but decided that the desk was not for him and the wild was calling. He then joined up with Shangaan Hunters sister company who have a lodge at Mahenye were the community are share holders. Thomas started off as a waiter to get a good grounding in the safari industry. He was then transferred to Senuko were he then followed his heart and passed his Learners Professional Hunters License in 1998. He has been guiding and hunting ever since then and his love of the bush and thirst for knowledge has never slowed. His knowledge of the local fauna and flora is excellent and has a great repot with all the clients he has guided over the years. Amongst all this, Thomas helps with the running of the Senuko Lodge and works with the surrounding communities trying to educate them in the benefits of conservation.

Trackers & Staff: These are the unsung heroes. So much of a Safari's success depends on these individuals, their skill, and dedication. The insight and foresight of a tracker following spoor is simply amazing to the watchful eyes of the uninitiated of the craft. They wake hours before the hunters in the morning, preparing the unseen necessities of the day, and they are awake after the hunter has turned in for the evening; tending to the details of the day and preparing for tomorrow's adventure.
